Product Description

All of our flags come in 2 different fabric options: standard knitted polyester and premium nylon.

Knitted polyester is our standard fabric and is the most common material for flags worldwide. It offers a great print with approximately 70% bleed-through onto the reverse side. It is a fantastic choice for an economical flag that is both durable yet cost effective.

Nylon is our premium fabric that offers maximum durability and colour penetration of approx. 95%. For reference, nylon is the Canadian Government standard material for flags. These nylon flags can be seen flown outside most hospitals, RCMP detachments, schools, Government buildings, etc.

Detailed Dont Tread On Me Flag Product Description

Originating as a motto on an iconic Revolutionary War flag, don’t tread on me is a historic expression of American patriotism. Today, it may be used as a more general expression of personal freedom and individualism.

Where does Dont Tread On Me come from?
Don’t tread on me began on what’s known as the Gadsden flag, which features a rattlesnake coiled above the expression on a yellow background. The flag was first flown on a warship in 1775 as a battle cry for American independence from British rule. It’s credited to Christopher Gadsden, a soldier and politician from South Carolina.

The snake was an established symbol for America at the time. Benjamin Franklin notably used it, saying the rattlesnake never backed down when provoked, which captured “the temper and conduct of America.”  The tread in Gadsden’s defiant phrase, don’t tread on me, means “to step, walk, or trample so as to press, crush, or injure something.”

We are able to amend and change any part of this flag, if you want other sizes, colours or changes of any kind, please reach out via the contact us link.
