    Product Description

All of our flags come in 2 different fabric options: standard knitted polyester and premium nylon.

Knitted polyester is our standard fabric and is the most common material for flags worldwide. It offers a great print with approximately 70% bleed-through onto the reverse side. It is a fantastic choice for an economical flag that is both durable yet cost effective.

Nylon is our premium fabric that offers maximum durability and colour penetration of approx. 95%. For reference, nylon is the Canadian Government standard material for flags. These nylon flags can be seen flown outside most hospitals, RCMP detachments, schools, Government buildings, etc.

    Information for the Alberta Flag

Around the time of the upcoming centennial celebration of Canadian Confederation petitions were submitted in November 1966 to Premier Ernest Charles Manning by the Social Credit Women's Auxiliaries of the Alberta Social Credit League to give Alberta its own unique flag. The flag was designed and approved as the official provincial flag by the Alberta legislature on June 1, 1968.

The flag of Alberta is an official symbol of the province of Alberta, Canada. In 1968, the provincial legislature authorized the design of a flag, adopting it on 1 June 1968.

The flag has the proportions 1:2, with the provincial shield of arms in the centre of an ultramarine blue background. The shield's height is 7⁄11 that of the flag's height.

The provincial colours, adopted in 1984, are blue and gold (deep yellow); they are also referred to as "Alberta blue" and "Alberta gold", appearing on the flag/shield in the sky/background and wheat background, respectively.

    I love it!

It looks great swinging in the wind on the front of my house. This was a brilliant idea from The Alberta Prosperity Project for those Albertans, like me, whom have been scared to place a lawn sign on my front yard to support any common sense candidate running for election as doing so could cause public discourse resulting in vandalism to my home and personal belongings. Hanging this beautiful Alberta flag says a statement that Alberta is, and always will be strong and free, and together as Albertans no one can that away from us.

    Fraying after a month…

Not really pleased, the creases are still in the flag and it is fraying at the edge…
