Detailed Franco-Yukonnais Flag Product Description
The Franco-Yukonnais flag was adopted in October of 1985 and created by Cécile Girard.
Not large in population, but represented by a flag none the less. This flag has a complex design, with a blue field and three diagonal stripes set from lower hoist to upper fly. The colours of the stripes are white and golden yellow. The effect created by the arrangement of the stripes is reminiscent of obstacles to surmount and mountains to climb. Blue is for the French people and the sky. The white is for the winter north of 60. Lastly the gold symbolizes the gold rush and the Franco-Yukonnais contribution to history of the territory.
Perfect for proudly displaying your heritage. At FlagMart Canada, we are happy to customize your order or help you to amend it to fit your needs. For other sizes or materials, please reach out via the contact us link.
