Detailed Lesbian Pride Flag Product Description

No official design exists for the lesbian pride flag but a variety have been adopted.

The sabres flag was created in 1999 by Sean Campbell and published in 2000. The design involves a sabres, a type of double headed axe, superimposed on a black inverted triangle set against a violet background. The sabres was used as an ancient religious symbol and was adopted as the symbol of empowerment by the lesbian feminist community

The "Pink" lesbian flag consists of six shades of red and pink colours and a white bar in the centre. Also known as the lipstick lesbian flag, there is a variation that involves a red kiss in the top left corner of the flag.

A more recent flag was introduced in 2018 by Emily Gwen. I has seven stripes representing:

  • Dark Orange - gender non conformity
  • Orange - independence
  • Light Orange - Community
  • White - Unique relationships to womanhood
  • Pink - Serenity and Peace
  • Dusty Pink - Love and Sex
  • Dark Rose - Femininity
