Detailed Franco-Columbian Flag Product Description
The Franco-Columbian flag was created by Raymond Lemoine. The flag first ran in a contest in May 1981 and was officially hoisted in 1982.
The flag bears the floral emblem of British Columbia, the dogwood. The blue stripes on a field of blue represent the sea, and where they rise, the mountains. The stylized fleur de lis symbolizes the French speaking community and points to the sun represented by the yellow disk.
